The gameboy "enhanced" update
Here is the latest on the development for Eternal Memory demo version 1.3
I've added a bunch of new features that are mostly under the hood but because of all the changes the game will not only look way better than before. Most obviously the graphics have been better utilized to take advantage of the color in the system which despite how simple it may look was actually a month of work to redesign and updates. Which not only leads to twice as many colors as before but the graphics inside the game are compressed further down as to be more efficient. And the animations now even support for more active bank-switching. Meaning we can make the character far more expressive and fluid then ever before.
Of course its not just an upgrade to the cosmetics but also a upgrade the game engine. As I felt like more could of been done to not only feel better but play better. So the buttons have been remapped to reflect a more clean moveset and less clutter on the overall combat. And thanks to the changes we can even allow for more moves to be chained in a combo thus more gameplay can be crammed in while reducing the need to get used to the controls.
Hopefully with all these changes the game will be a far better experience for you to not only play. But to get immersed in a new 8 bit adventure that can take full advantage of what could of been if it were a early 2000s game. And as a means to make it worth it a second time around there's a bit more to see whats ahead for the future. Thank you for all the support this far as it's been a long journey that I've been on and hopefully you can see my vision in the full version.
