Boxed In
Boxed In is for the Gameboy showdown jam of 2023
You play as the cardboard robot and your mission is simple: to make friends and to move into the village of Darson.
The gameplay revolves around f helping the locals with their daily tasks and to fend off the extremely aggressive wild life.
Combat is a hybrid design between Punch-Out and classic RPGs as to make battles both exciting and challenging, while still being a easy to get the hang of.
The entire game was built by just me in 7 days
all assets were also made by just me.
The things that belong to anything else are from the following previous projects of mine:
- Sparks from Myte Byte
-Background tiles from Eternal Memory
-Encounter theme from Eternal memory
-Most NPCs are from Eternal Memory

Install instructions
This game will require you to run through a emulator. The best way to play is either by using Sameboy or BGB for the best experience. As other emulators may lead to inaccuracies in sound or other technical features.

The animation on the box is very cool but the problem, i can easily die. And if i die, I'm gonna go back to the title screen only that it's not actually save. I'm in the prologue part after the girl and the mayor talk. I just don't know how to finish the game without dying.
But overall the palette is good. Other than that, have a great day!
thanks for the feedback, yeah I definitely could of balanced it better. Of course it was a 7 day jam so there wasn't much time to polish that part. Glad you could enjoy it for what its worth
